Daphnism uses the Filehoster Divshare, which also offers free accounts to upload and exchange files. These uploaded files can then be passed on to friends via email, Facebook or MySpace (directly from the program).
Moreover, Daphnism supports multiple accounts and runs without background processes, that way Daphnism only cost performance when it is really running.
