FlexCal

FlexCal is a small application that opens by pressing a key sequence (or hotkey) a window for creating tasks and events in iCal. The program integrates in the system settings.

In addition to assigning the hotkey, it can also be specified whether or not to be registered with the first keystroke tasks or events immediately.
